A DIAGNOSIS OF SPANISH CRIMINAL POLICY AND SOME REMEDIES

Abstract

Th e work begins by asking what social and political factors might explain the unsatisfactory and volatile politicalcriminal situation we fi nd ourselves in. We then expose some clichés often used to justify somewhat unsubstantiated political-criminal decisions. Th e work moves on to show various evaluative references that would enable us to regain an ideological and pragmatic coherence in the subject. We end by addressing a couple of tasks that reveal themselves to be particularly urgent.
