Abstract

Th e unstoppable development of the interchange of information mechanisms and their expected use by land information systems will have a signifi cant impact on the theory of constructive notice as far as it is based on the idea of excusable ignorance. Due to these reasons it would seem necessary to reexamine the notion of constructive notice so as to maintain its role as a corrective factor with regard to the eff ects of legal formalism, but without it becoming a hindrance to the agility of the exchange of land information
