In a world where legal relations are interdependent and were we depend on natural resources to maintain our level of production and consumption, a large group of jurists and scientists support the need to set certain limits to market freedom to adequately protect human rights and, therefore, democracy. Failure to do so means depriving future generations of a future. This opens a new range of interest’s worthy of protection and legitimacy before Justice. The use of technology —especially artificial intelligence— will predictably lead to the acceleration and complexity of conflicts, and the courts will be faced with the need to resolve new disputes in global, multi-level and often anomic scenarios. Solidarity rights and due diligence of States appear as key concepts in this new era.
